That's as near to new as you will ever get. Estimate price seems low

If this was never registered, could this technically end up being an 18 plate z3?

I have had to carry to out an mot a few years ago on something similar.
It was a vw beetle built to full spec as ' Herbie ' white with the number 53 etc car sent from.germany to a museum in the states then to a museum in England where after a number of years it got sold at auction.
The car would be issued with an age based number and mot required would also be based on the criteria for it's age

That is an auctioneers attention grabbing estimate. I guess the final bid will be at least twice that much but if it is not then the Z3 M is right out of favour.

There is no mention in Section 8 about the Certificate of Conformity date. My understanding was that the date is the date of first registration (worldwide). Hence a vehicle registered in the Italy in 2001 can be used on UK roads because it was legal in Italy in 2001. It doesn't have to be tested under today's rules.
However if the vehicle had been unregistered, it would have to be tested under today's rules, as it has never been tested ANYWHERE.

@Stevo7682 - did Herbie get an extended MOT, or was it just the usual checks?

The cars covered nearly 29k so where has it done them ? It must have been registered somewhere unless some rich so and so has a bloody long private drive
