My s***'s custom!
I'm considering putting on an event for a day in summer 2018. It's going to take some work to put together so I'm putting the feelers out to see if there is enough interest to warrant the work.

Basically it will be a "Photo treasure hunt". We would all meet up at a set location in the morning where you will be given a map/postcodes with points marked for landmarks and points of interest around the county.

Then in groups of 2-4 cars you plan your own route to hit as many of the locations as you can and get a photo of ALL cars in your group at the location with the landmark. You can post your pics on a thread as you go from a smartphone. Although there are some great friendships amongst members on here It would be a nice touch if the groups took in a new member or one unfamiliar with the area.

Bonus points could be up for grabs for "wild card" pics you can get of your cars at any place you find yourself that would make for a good/funny pic (points could be added or deducted for the use of nudity! =)))

There would be a compulsory lunch stop for everyone to get together part way through the day and a compulsory end time and location.

It'd just be a bit of fun and based on the quality pics and the quantity of places visited a winning team would be chosen.

It's up to you if you use satnav, local knowledge or a good old fashioned road map and co-pilot.

We could have Zeds crisscrossing all over Derbyshire for a day and we wouldn't have the danger of groups getting split up.

Do you think it would work and would it be fun enough to have a go?

(Note to Mods: if I've put this thread in the wrong place feel free to move it.)

This is a great idea. I did something like this in Central London after midnight and taking in tunnels too. Was fun but out the countryside on a sunmers day with lots of Z's will be awesome.

Great idea we did something similar when we had a Stag.
Any chance coming south.?
As much as I'd like to head back to my southern routes, purely to make organising it easier I'd have to run it in Derbyshire. But it could make for a good weekend break?

Sounds like a fun day out we did something similar in holiday one year.
Adding points for specific items like "take a picture of a member with a tractor holding the union jack flag" and the like the locals must have thought us bonkers but it was fun

Remember doing car treasure hunts as kids, great fun in a how many chimneys on a old house kind of way.

Think the key would be to keep it as simple as possible.

Could be a good weekend break as said for us down south.:)

Did something like this back in 2004 with BMW motorcycle club. It was May 4th 2004, we set off from St Ives in Cornwall and my day ended at Winkleigh airfield in Devon and with an air ambulance trip to Devon and Exeter Hospital.
I hit a badger on a country road. 2 days in hospital, 6 weeks off work and bike written off.

It would be nice to have a go at it in the Zed though
