So one of the tyre guys had this Audi in today and he shouted me over to show me something.

So the total mileage on car is 90570
Trip 2 never been reset shows 90571
So today's answer on a postcard is

" how can the trip meter show nmore mileage than the total mileage. "

Maybe the total miles goes backwards when the car is reversed while the trip isn't fooled.

Or different bits of the software were written by different people and one bit rounds fractions up to the next whole number and the other rounds down
