another Z3 seat switch query

After looking at my seat switch it appears all I'm going to need is the cover. It is in the glove box with a broken clip but will definetly look everything over while the seats are out for leather replacement, and lube everything that needs it. JIM

same problem seat would go back but not forward or up and down, changed the switch it now goes back and forward, but not up or down, no noise from the motor when operated up or down but it is in the right position for me so not a problem, but would be interested if some one finds out a good fix

Where did you get your replacement switch from?

This page shows the seat switches & part numbers. Not sure if they are still available now or not, but give @Soper Parts Lincoln a quick call and they will tell you!

Yes still available but the white connector is attached to the actual switch, so in my case would have to buy the complete switch at a cost of £165 , think I will put up with using the seat asit is for the moment

As I promised I took a picture of the underneath of the seat so that you can see how the wiring looks. The red rectangle shows the back of the switch unit itself, and then the red line traces the path of the cable which comes from the unit. It connects to the seat loom just off the edge of the picture.
