I picked up my old mate Ken from the Elms car park after lunch. We were talking in the pub on Wednesday evening and he told me he had never ridden in a roofless car in his life, so needing to top up with fuel for Sunday we went into Lincoln. On our way out I asked of he could manage an ice-cream, he said always, so left at the roundabout and down to Skellingthorpe.
My mate is 84 and having lost his wife Ann at the start of the pandemic (they would've been married 60 years this week) he is lost so I try to keep him occupied. Next week I'm planning to take him up to the Bomber Command Centre at the top of Lincoln. Some of us visited there a few years ago and called at Daisy Made for ice-cream, coffee on our way home. Maybe there might be interest in another visit?
Tony.
