My first car was green, an A35, when I was 17. Had 3 prangs in her, finally rolling down the side of Box Hill in Surrey with the present Mrs. Bonzo in the passenger seat. I vowed I would never own or drive a green car again. I won't even wear anything green when I drive.
Superstitious? Moi?

Oh no, :arghh: Just realised I have the green stripe windscreen on Z3lda. Will have to cross my fingers each time I get in her! :nailbiting:

:drinks:

Bonzo.

Hi all. I'm Mike from Wakefield. I have just bought my first Z3, and I'm picking it up on Saturday.

It's a Palmetto Green 2.8. It's a marmite colour, and when I originally saw the ad for the car, I didn't look at it closely. When I eventually looked at the pictures and looked into the colour, and how rare it was, I fell in love with it.

I saw on the other Yorkshire thread about the Motorist Hub BMW Meet. I've been to the last two in my wifes Boston Green E36 Convertible (yes we like green cars). I'm also restoring a Lapisblau E21 316. I'll be taking the Z to the next one.

Here's a picture of it from an ad from a couple of years ago. Its staggered wheels are now black. I may swap them back to silver. I'll post more pictures at the weekend when I've collected it.
WOW!! That is a beautiful color, beautiful car! I have never seen a z3 that color. Have fun!

:welcome: From Glasgow, Scotland. Message you on facebook Z3 club to join. Glad to see the palmetto amongst the ranks. Looking forward to seeing the car develop. I will be doing some anti rust work myself on the undersides, hopefully before the winter.

Thanks. I put a post on the Z3 club yesterday. I joined when I started looking for a Z3.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I can see me hanging around here for a while.

So I travelled over to Liverpool yesterday and picked her up. My wife has christened her Bella. I have an E21 that I'm restoring, and she's called Betsy. My wife has an E36 and that's Belinda. Yes, all the B's.

She does have a couple of faults which I'll be sorting out in the future along with a few improvements. The first one I think will be the whining belt tensioner when she's warmed up. I'll create a project post shortly.

Dont like the black wheels sorry .

Rest of the car I love but the black rims on Palmetto are just not doing it for me .

Beautiful colour Stephen. I should imagine your car’s colour is very rare.
