Well just got in from a long day at Zedshed HQ.
Breakfast Baguette start as always
@Mint car to be stripped …..and to be honest if was showing all the signs of doing 200k+ miles……
Today got my hands dirty as I was allowed to help ……but it is noticeable that while the majority were engrossed in looking over the Z4 on the other lift ( or was it just that Holly was there working on it and they were just watching her…!!!!

Gaz was left to carry on the strip down of Mints car on his own ( my help being very limited)
I think Gaz is the only one who is able to get to the rear shock top mounts….. I was allowed to catch them and put them in the bin !!!
With Gaz working on all the rear subframe parts Martin (@Mnbrennan ) started on the front end parts and bits were soon piling up on the floor…. Mostly heading for the scrap bin or shot blasting pile…. But they didn’t look good
Wasnt long before the rear beam and connected parts were on the floor …. Not in record time but they did have me helping so what do you expect !!!!!
Gaz continued to start stripping this assembly down to the component parts which left me unsupervised to remove various parts including the tank straps…. ( which I actually do know a bit about
)
Then after Martin had to go I continued on some of the front end parts ( but did need Lee’s help with some of it)
In the end front and rear end completely stripped … which did throw up a few horrors( I am sure @Lee will report these !!!!)
It was nice to see Mike , Bill. Martin , Paul, Holly, Trev and Lee and Gaz
…….,,and what a difference from one car on axle stands in Lee’s garage..,,
As always a great day out…. I could have spent the time today working on the one in my garage…. Nah !!! This was much more fun
