G'day All. I've had my 2003/4 E85 2.5 Z4 for 4 years and fortunately the only problem I've had with the car so far is the sticky/stiff steering, which is associated with hot weather. (quite frequent in Melbourne). I've put up with it until now, but at times the notchy stiffness makes it quite dangerous to drive. So I though it about time to sort it.
I've read many threads about this problem and solutions appear various - greasing the steering column, reset the ECU??, drill and insert grease nipple into steering box and the ultimate cure, replace the steering column with one from a later model (very expensive) I favour the grease nipple approach and I am hoping someone on this forum has photos and instructions as to how to do it.

Hi again. I'm struggling? Can someone confirm the e torx size and whether they used a spanner, ratchet wrench or socket? my spanner doesn't give sufficient access to turn the screw. All a bit of a pain.
