Annoying rear end rattle

Had an annoying rattle for a few days, everytime i go over a bump on the passenger side i get an annoying rattle. Looking through wheel i fish this out from inside the spring. Are e85 springs universal with any other ie E46?

Make a job of it and get a set of Eibach Pro springs Jason. Dead easy to fit on a Z4.

Wonder how many blowouts are caused by pieces of spring. It could have jumped out at any time.
