Got to keep milking the cash cow.

Not to worry though, soon we'll all be able to get around on e scooters ;), once they have been doctored should be able to reach decent speeds too.
Relive that youth for many

We came out of Lowes yesterday evening and a guy came past on an electric bike going at a fair lick, and he was towing a trailer too.

Tony.

Hmmmm. The heirarchy of responsibilties, I'm not 100% sure on that being quite so fixed if I'm honest.

One of my bugbears is people seeming unable to judge the speed of oncoming vehicles and pulling out expecting traffic to brake (sometimes severely) to let them in. Now if its an HGV with longer stopping distances, regardless of anything else somehow it will be the poor HGV drivers fault if he hits the muppet. I'm really not so sure about that bit if I'm honest . . .

So, say you’re travelling on a 60mph A road and you come up behind a group of cyclists who insist on riding 2 or 3 abreast along a stretch of solid double white lines. What should you do? Personally I’ll give a toot on the hooter to let them know I’m coming up behind them, usually met with F*** off or similar. That’s if they hear me whilst listening to music through their ear buds. But the cyclist is never wrong?

Hi Tony, I questioned why cyclist bunch ride whilst doing my motorcycle advanced course, apparently the science suggests it's less of a hazard and quicker for motorists to pass the bunch than a line of cyclists, quick out and back in so to speak....

Safer for cyclists too. If in single file cars/trucks/vans will pass within a few mm, if two abreast (in-line with the Highway Code) the motorist will wait until a suitable gap appears. I've lost count the amount of times vehicles nearly had me off on my racing bike when lone riding on the days I did 100 mile a week, that's why I gave it up.

A lot of people don't seem to know that you're allowed to cross a white line or double white line to overtake cyclists, providing it's safe to do so, ie; you can see well ahead etc. Also you're supposed to give 1.5 metre gap when overtaking a cyclist so you should be going over the centre of a normal road anyway.

Nice touch putting up road tax in line with inflation………..no coincidence that it’s it’s at its highest for years!

Currently trialing hi res cameras looking into a car on an unnamed motorway.
Touch a phone, or satnav, or anything else they program in, the first thing you know a fine lands on the mat.
Since the Nictator already has masses of cameras up here I expect Scotland will go full bore down that route as quickly as she can.

Another grey area that baffles me is Uber,Ola and the thousands of scooter food delivery driver / riders who cannot accept a job without touching a phone screen whilst moving, how does that work?
