Had a hour today so took a good look at the new project,
The good stuff
All OEM, no mods other then the chrome gills
Full BMW service history,
4 virtually new tyres
Brand new battery,
Tonneau,
New discs and pads all round,
full tool kit including the original wheel bag
Interior is in excellent condition,
Engine sounds as smooth as silk
Drives excellent and the 2.8 put a bloody big smile on my face today,
Electric hood works as it should and is in great condtion.
2 owners from new the last a lady for 12 years
New X8R drivers door mirrior
Bad stuff,
needs, 2 sills,(I have one that I removed from a z3 2 years ago) 2 rear wings, 2 front wings
Welding needed to both inner sills
Split rear screen,

This project really excites me and I can't wait to get stuck in, however it won't be at 100mph like the last one as I don't have as much time on my hands these days,
Firstly will be the welding followed by the bodywork, I have plans for the interior but not as elaborate as my current Z3,
I will be dropping it on Eibachs with Bilstein shocks, also keeping it on 17 inch rims

That's some motor for the money mate! 'Stole' it is an understatement of galactic proportions. Will be following with interest. Great torque eh :D

A great buy Sean, pity about the welding, I hope it is not too much. I have got a couple of outer sills which are probably repairable if you want them.

Looks like a nice Zed mate. I'm sure by the time you're finished with it, it will be a stunning Zed. Good luck with the transformation Sean.

Thats a very generous offer Mike, is yours a prefacelift as I believe they are different to the facelift, not sure though, could someone confirm this, thanks
