The Sunday before last some of the EAC, EnthuZiauZT ( Mike & I). Macca & Marymac (Richard & Mary) and The Reddyzeds (Shaun & Karen) set off on an adventure, driving up to the West Coast of the Scottish Highlands! We had a great time despite the weather, It was so bad it was almost impossible to see Reddyzeddygo in front on the way up! We broke the journey with a night in Kendal, meeting up with Seasurfer (Gill & Gary) for dinner.

Driving past the shores of Loch Lomond, we stayed in Portavadie and on the first day took the ferry on foot across Loch Fyne to Tarbet and had lunch overlooking the harbour. Sitting up on top of the ferry in glorious sunshine for the return journey home and spotting dolphins leaping out of the water in the loch beside us, was a real treat!

The sun shone all the next day, as we motored, top down, west to Oban, passing through Inverary, Lochgilphead and Kilmartin. After lunch, Mike & I continued on our own up to Fort William & Ben Nevis (A tick off Mike’s bucket list) whilst the others headed back, down through Glen Coe. On the quiet loch side journey home, a deer appeared, ambling across the single track road, which made our day!

On our way back to Kendal, the Ladies decided to stop off at Gretna Green!! Not to stand in front of the Anvil though, only to visit the Outlet Centre to find some bargains!

Following our last night in the Lake District, we started the journey back home the next day, diverting to Barrow in Furness to visit Gill & Gary, to see the amazing changes they had made to their house, they also took us to a nearby Marina, so that we could see the progress they had made restoring a 20ft Yacht!

All in all a wonderful trip, with good friends and entertaining company.

Sorry it is picture heavy, so in two parts, but we took so many, it was hard to choose!

Lovely photos, Wish I would have know you were all coming up, I would have love to have met you for a coffee at some point.

Sorry, Brian, we would love to have met up with you, but it didn't occur to us that there might be someone in Scotland to meet up with, do you live anywhere near our route to Portavadie and down through Lochgilphead to Oban? :)
