Why do these company's keep doing this, it just makes you not want to use them.

Rant over

Yep with you in this, can't stand these companies using sly ways into memberships and renewals. It's should be a lot more heavily policed than it is. Insurance companies are the worst for auto renewing, drives me mad!:mad:

What I do is, I check shops websites and you see something that you want and then you get the dreaded "Online Only".
What I then do is, go to the shop and ask for them to get it ordered for me.
That way, if its not what you want / expected, I take it back to the same shop and it is their problem what they do with it.
Obviously, saying this, it is easy for me as I live in the center of town.

Lots of companies now resort to this sort of behaviour unfortunately. Although i am a member of Prime as it gives me lots of things that i need like free streaming of Music to my Echos and also i get lots of next day delivery to my local Morrisons when we purchase things, not often i use the website as i just tell the Echo what i want and it orders it for me.

You must have clicked on the wrong link?

Nope defiantly not as this has happened before and i was watching, in fact i stopped before i even purchased the items as it said you now have free trial, so it gave me it before even buying anything this was the stage i phoned them.

Embrace Amazon Prime... Have been subscribed for a couple of years now and it's saved me a fortune in delivery and the I've got the extras on top like Prime Video and Music. I have shared my account to include my son who gets some of the benefits, even though he doesn't live with me.

We're on prime but still find you have to pay for a lot of programs which sucks.

Amazon is a bit dodgy anyway sharp practice the way it treats staff & the way it pays tax out of the uk.

The wording on Amazon basket/checkout is very carefully put together - I can see how people can inadvertently be guided into Prime... - but I take your point - I must take care in future purchases with Amazon! Cheers!

If you order lots from Amazon, it may very well pay. It's probably a good deal if you're ordering several times per month.

But, often what you purchase is free or just a few quid. It's just a way of getting more of your hard earned without you realising.

Prime is a fortune saver

Me, my in laws and my brother all chip in for it. Then we all use it.

We broke even a fee months in with free delivery

I do not use Amazon enough for it to be worth it for delivery, last time i got anything delivered from them was last xmas

Love Amazon, we use it all the time. Great service, never failed yet.

I use Amazon quite a bit, although I don't want Prime, I have used their free trial a few times to save postage. Never any problem cancelling it at the end of the free trial period..

Same here. I order stuff a couple of times a year and have zero interest in music or videos. :)
