Yet again I had to take drastic evasive action whilst going round a roundabout as a 4x4 alongside me decides he not only wants my lane, but the actual bit of road I am currently using! After a scary swerve, a lot of horn noise and sort of polite hand gestures I usually get an embarrased apology or they just stare straight ahead and pretend its not happening.
This has happened quite a lot lately and I guess because they are so high up I must be below the sightline of their door mirrors. Bloody scary though!!!
Luckily no damage yet, but I am worried it is only a matter of time.
Surely I am not the only one?

See this kind of antics every morning Paul, at Carholme Roundabout at the A57/A46 junction you need eyes in your arse mate. And in front at the same time

Tony.

Totally agree Tony. For some reason, in my case it tends to be on the M4 motorway junction 15. Happened a few times now.

Well that happens when you have a nut coloured car-you blend in with the nutters =))

I’m headlights on all the time, especially in winter as these cars are a bit small and modern cars have bad blind spots.
Next to a 4x4 they may not even have noticed you.
Solution to that problem is a a loud exhaust

Love the nut coloured car comment!
To answer your other comment, I have the loud exhaust!!

Yes it does happen a lot :p
When I come out of a junction I seam to always get a big car going the other way so I can't see or when your in a car park 2 big vans are either side of me when I come back I'm sure they do it on purpose :(

Happened to me a number of times on roundabouts, mainly 4x4s that are in the outer lane and cut me up on the inside lane, you just have to anticipate thats its going to happen

You are right, and I always do, but it seems to be happening a lot more lately,

But if anything serious happens to Pistachio I want Sean d. to rebuild it. :)

It's not just you. Had some tw@ go past me on the exit of a roundabout the other day. Nothing unusual about that, I hear you say. There's only one lane off that particular roundabout (Bangor end of the Felinheli bypass) and I was driving the big horsey lorry. Bit bigger than a Z3, but still invisible to a tw@ in a VW. Who then stuck two fingers up when I tooted the horn. Another hundred yards or so later the road turns two lane so that the likes of me can get out of the way of people with important things to do. Like not have a lorry drive over them. Tw@? And to55er, too.
