Alternator query

Hi , the alternator on my 1999 2.8 has given up the ghost , while searching online for replacement a couple of options seem to be available my car was fitted with a bosch 90 but my search as also showed up a 120 , my query is is the 120 a compatible replacement and what's the difference , just buy a new one or repair my old one ( bearings are shot and it has done 120000 miles )

Just had to replace mine on the 2.8 auto. This was an 80 Amp one. I just replace from AutoDoc. Most expensive one approx £160.
I would suggest like for like, and 90 Amp ones were less than £100. I done some research and they are not interchangeable.
