Alternator for 2.8

Hi all, I think the alternator on my 2.8 has packed up. Battery showing 12 ish volts before start up and showing 11.7 after, so presume it is alternator. Also an unusual noise from engine bay. Serpentine belt is tight and no squealing under load. I have an 80 amp alternator but a bit confused about part no.
I can get a 120 amp one on fleebay but I do not know if this will make a difference? If anyone can decipher the part no. Or link me to a new one that would be great. By the way is it a June 97 pre facelift. Cheers

It you need one I have a guaranteed working 80amp with new brushes I put on myself I can let you have for cheap. Pm me if interested

Just an update.............New Alternator fitted and all working.........ordered from AutoDoc on Monday, received Friday.....£164. Took about an hour to do but wasn't rushing.......nice and easy to replace
