And it has, pretty much. Stayed up watching news channel till about 1.00. Strong winds were blowing by then.
No power/Internet outages so that was good.
2 screens blown out on the pool deck (luckily the same 2 spotted on the house inspection). Screens missing means s*** Load of leaves to clean up and skim out of pool. Next door have lost 4 or 5 screens.

Tree blown over at edge of lake, this has been in the water nearly all year so no surprise really.

Fingers crossed that is all the damaged we've suffered, apart fron 2 small branches in the at the end of the drive which haven't fallen out of the tree after snapping.

Good to see you're safe Tony. Looks like you've got away with very little damage compared to some.

No power/internet outages ? thats incredible . Nice to hear everyones doing ok . The great thing about Florida is the weather , the bad thing about Florida is also the weather.
 
Great to see you both survived and are safe, in the scheme of things a few leaves to clear and the screens to sort I'd say you were very lucky.

Looking forward to a decent nights sleep now I suppose :cool:

Yes, still here Paul. When the Hurricane came along we contacted Virgin to see if anyone badly needed to leave as we had our place to stay. They moved our flight from Heathrow to Manchester next week for £30. Extending the car rental by a week cost us $150 so here we are.
Furniture back out on pool deck and it's back to how it was.

Pleased you're ok now - sensible choice staying longer for that extra cost, saves on the heating this end.
