So today I had the glove box out and programmed my fobs via the switch on the DME, worked a treat thanks guys and really good feel factor as I hate when things don't work as they should, when I press the buttons I get 2 flashes on the indicators for lock and one for open,I am not getting a red light on the console and no beeps, should it beep, thanks
Ive code read the EWS and no faults show up

Fix it mate it only took me 10 mins to pull it apart, will probably take 20 to put it back together, such an easy fix and it feels great

Has the siren under the bonnet been turned off? Assuming we have same model/system it should work as described in these pages from Supplementary manual.
The LED on the console is also a push button - there should be a permanent 5v supply when you push button it send a pulse signal back to the control unit to override sensors.Page 4 - Activating-deactivating.jpgPage 5 - Optical Functional display.jpg

@Sean d - forgot to add occasionally mine gets out of sync and indicators flash but no siren. Never been able to work out why but if I set alarm and then create an activation by opening door with key it resets it -:confused: no idea why.

Thanks for the help guys but still not activating, if I had a faulty switch would it stop the activation, I checked the boot light and it does not turn off.

Not normally - if you arm the system and a switch is not made then the system sets but there is a long bleep afterwards to tell you there is a problem. I take it you still haven't got an audible - did you check the siren switch?

The siren should have switch (lock) which is turned by a key like a barrel with a leg on. I'll take a pic.of my toolbox key and add it here.

I noticed a rubber cap on the siren mate, thats probably where the key goes in, so who would have the key

Previous owner?, if you can't locate it maybe one of the resident breakers could help you out with the sounder and a key mate?

It does work, in that it goes of when the car is locked with the fob, I think. We had it making a racket at ours last year. One for a Saturday afternoon maybe.

But only to lock it Sean, his alarm doesn't work. We really ought to look into it one day, especially now you know what to do. Would only cost him some butties and some P155 taking ................. =))
