Airbag light

Hi, I`ve a 3.0 built in 2000 with 76,000 miles on the clock. Twice this week I`ve had the airbag light stay on when I`ve started the car. Turned the engine off and restarted and the airbag light has gone off. Should I be worried? Thanks Alec

As it goes off means the airbags are ready. The cause could be loose or dislodged connectors under the seat.
Have you moved the seats up/down or forwards/backwards recently as this can affect the connectors as there isn't much clearance under the seat.

Thanks Brian4, I`ll check the connectors but I haven`t moved the seats since I last gave it a good clean which I`m embarrassed to admit was quite a long time ago.

Could be time to invest in a scanner. If you do, get a good one.
