Think your issue is beyond even the powers of the old liquid gold! That wee tool should sort it...if you catch my drift! That will do the job nicely hopefully... If not mild panic and I'll grab the wd40! Ha ha

Hi Gaz.. Would this work on my '04 E85, I've had this problem for three years and no longer living near the guy who did a reset for me just prior to MOT. Next one is due in early Dec. Reset normally only lasts a few days before light is back on.I've got the very same one Gaz,very handy thing to have.

they should stay on, if a fault is detected it needs to be investigated even if the fault goes away, its designed that way. I would think if your light comes on then goes off it was never a fault to start with, so what could it be, damp in the clocks maybe. would be interesting to see if others have had a self extinguishing airbag light, maybe some do go out if all is ok.Interesting as I've just been reading about the movement of seats and association with the airbag light. Mine occasionally comes on for a few minutes randomly and then is gone again without a trace! Would have thought once it comes on it usually stays on?
My airbag light used to do exactly the same, but never if I was on my own. I also read that the airbag light once triggered stayed on but it wasn't so on mine, it flashed on and off lots of times. It was caused by the occupancy seat sensor in the passenger seat being faulty....Mine occasionally comes on for a few minutes randomly and then is gone again without a trace! Would have thought once it comes on it usually stays on?
Not very technical but when the light came on I got Pauline to lift her weight from the seat and restarted the car. Fixed it most times. The technical way is to get the seat out and measure the resistance of the seat mat.Very interesting! I know it's happened a couple of times with the wife in the car. Wonder if I have the exact same thing! Is there a way to properly diagnose it as that @Mint
It didn't always come on, must have been the way she was sitting on the seat or more specifically on the matCool will give the non-technical way a go at work tomorrow with a colleague May explain why I don't always see the light, and find myself wondering whether the wife will spot it being on while she is sat next to me. The two events are seeming to align in my head!
Best of luck...Well hopefully I think you might be on the money there thinking back to the times I have noticed it, pretty sure Ruby has always been with me. not every time though. I'll let you know how I get on!
Certainly did on mine, Feb 2002 versionexcellent result, so it can come on then go off dependent on the issue.
