I'm not sure but may be a poor connection on the plug under neath the seat.

You might have loosened the underseat wires. It happened on mine too. You'll need to clear the code and reset it

yep, common chain of events=)) when i brought mine it looked as though the seat runners had driven over the cable (this was a common issue on the zed from new)
though i will second the plug check, they do come loose by them selves.
if you need airbag reset, let me know maybe another meet is in order:)

Mine works for my pre face lift and on Adrian's face lift zed.

Steve
My car is pre facelift and Lee's kit couldn't communicate with my car and neither would Paul's when my airbag light came on during the Euro trip. When I got back I bought my own on Ebay. The seller said the facelift and pre facelift setters are different.

It's good to know that it is not the case across the board

I have one of these reset tools as well and the number of times that I use it is unbelievable.

My Zed does the same thing, if I move the drivers seat too far forward then the airbag light has a tendency to turn on, I've even replaced the yellow cable that come attached to the seat hoping that would resolve the issue. It's an intermittent issue but since I used electrical cleaner on the connectors it doesn't come on as often.

Mine has also started coming on, but only when someone is sitting in the passenger seat.

Just be out to double check, start motor from drivers seat and hopped to the passenger side and the
airbag light came on.

Had a look, could not spot this yellow cable passenger side ?

Take the seat out, clean up the connection plugs with a drop of WD40 Including the one on the seat belt tensioner.
I've got a reset tool when you need it
