Hi all, removed the drivers seat today to check fitment of an aftermarket seat and assess general condition of carpet (answer: soggy and stained!)

Put it all back together and now got the airbag warning light on - assuming I've pinched a cable during the rebuild but can anyone point me in the right direction of potentially which cable before I rip it back out again and try unscrew my screw-up?

For anyone interested, pic attached of carpet condition.

You just need to get an "airbag reset" tool to clear the light. They are around £10 on Ebay. This is a very common occurrence when removing your seats.

Thanks, glad it's nothing major, or even requiring seat removal!

It will be the yellow connector that goes to the seatbelt tensioner that is the cause. Check to make sure not disconnected.
You need one of these ( or similar) to reset.

Cheers buddy, I'm in Arbroath but thanks for the offer. Is there a reason for it to happen, simply because it was disconnected it throws up the fault?

If you turn the ignition on while seat disconnected it causes it.
Mine happened because I tried to tidy the wires and made it too neat and too tight, so when I move the seat forward it disconnected as no slack in the wire. Easy to check with a mirror and torch just to make sure connection ok.

Arbroath is a bit far from Bognor =))
