Guys, I have a couple of faults from the reader, one is Seat buckle switch and the other is something to do with occupancy, I believe I can get an adapter for the occupancy fault, but what about the seat buckle fault, has anyone had this, also what adapter do I need, thanks

it could simply be where you swapped out the seats, do the faults come back after clearing?

I have had a play today and somehow cleared fault code 11, which is the buckle switch, I still have the occupancy fault however it already has the bypass, if I remove it and connect back to the occupancy mat I still get the error, could the bypass be faulty

You've made some progress then mate, might be worth checking the second fault code against the chart just to make sure it's right.

It must be in the seat base then ? Could be the detector not connected or faulty?.
Electrical gremlins can be a p.i.t.a to trace and correct.
Hope you manage to sort it mate,if the fault wasn't there with the original seat it points to the fault lying with the present one.

I have the bypass in so that should sort it, I think it has something to do with coding as I don't have a passenger airbag but the seat is connected, I'm just guessing really.

Someone with more insight to this sort of thing is needed,@littlefeller if i remember right has a better code reader that hooks up to a lap top may be able to recode it to cure the fault.

I'm sure there was someone else with that set up more local to us but can't remember who it is .
Let's hope Jason comes back to you with some ideas.

the first thing we need to establish is why it needs to know there is someone in the seat, if no airbag then it can only be the heated seat, calling everyone with heated seats - does the passenger seat heat up when not occupied?

ah you say coding data, some modules do have options that are (as creature comforts adds would say) on and off-able.

I think the airbag thing might be the problem Jason, as the car does not have one yet the seat has the little black box that tells the car its connected
