My 2000 2.8 has the airbag light on. When I bought it, the light came on and off a few times. After removing the seat to fix the recline mechanism and do the bushings the light has stayed on. With the B800 table 38, code 14 (sensor, side airbag left, data fault) comes up twice, then 03 (supply voltage). I pulled the sensor to inspect, looks like it was replaced before with a used unit (had junk yard markings on it) a little corrosion, harness was clean. Is there anything else to check, or should I order a new one (don't was another used unit)?

Take a deep breath and ask for a price of a new sensor. They are not cheap. I'm guessing that they are around US$500

Moisture and corrosion kills the sensor. If it's been replaced before, you may have a leak that is getting things wet, so check for moisture in the foam and carpet before fitting a new sensor.

Got hold of a Creator C310+ code reader, turned out to be pass. side actuator. Some dielectric grease on the 3 connections solved the problem. I had a friend order a new side impact sensor for $157us. If he cant return it I'll post it for sale.
