Yep - looked at them earlier in the year for insurance - another group I'm a mmember of had a 15% discount with them. Still came out more than I could get elaewhere and the reviews of Ageas werent good when I looked.
You only find out how good they are when you claim.
I was insured with 'One Call' (joke name!) when a lorry ran into my car. They were absolutely useless, no answer at first and no help when finally contacted. Fortunately the insurance was underwritten by Ageas and they were great. They dealt with it all, got my car repaired, claimed everything off the lorry drivers company.
I was with Ageas last year, seemed an ok company but I have no experience of claiming with them. That is really only when you know what they are like. I only changed as I got a good deal somewhere else via a cashback site.
Had the 3 series insured with Ageas for 2 years - moved on because price crept up, usual story, and better deals available. Fortunately never had to claim which, as already pointed out, is when you really find out what they're really ike.
Makes me laugh when you insure with a company for whatever, car, travel, house, then straightaway they ask for your opinion on their services! As has been said, you only find out what they are like if you have to make a claim.
