Yep - mine was a paint that mixed with hardener and then painted on - will PM you some pics so as not to ruin Tony's thread
I think you may haveOoooh red oxide primer,the caliper paint I bought doesn't say owt about applying primer before painting,got me wondering if I'll have to do the same?.
Shaping up well there mate,the back plates are better in silver it's a shame they won't be seen apart from the top edge but at least they'll be in tip top condition.
So what colour you doing the calipers?......not sure if I asked that already.

I don't worry about OT Steve, as you may noticed in the Sept .11th thread! My paint says it can be applied direct to bare metal too, as did the paint I used on my Z3 but it just doesn't seem right.Much appreciated

I have some newly painted callipers on the kitchen table (don't tell Shirl) which need their slider rubber sleeves refitting before they can go tomorrow. The spoiler man and I got the job done and headed to Saxilby for fish and chips as the Swan wasn't open for food today. We did quite a lot of reminiscing about cars we've had over the years. After he left I put another coat of clear on the insides of the wheels and another coat of silver on the discs.

Does your spoiler fitting man use masking tape to stick spoilers on with Tony?

Only a temporary measure mate, that comes off tomorrow.
I hope to get it washed at the weekend to get rid of all the red oxide and ------ spray dust and then you will see it in all it's glory.Tony.
Looks a nice job. I like to do the brake centres as well. Makes them stand out.

Prepare to go dizzy then Ian @Redline here are the results of another busy afternoon in the Z shed.
The first thing to do was remove the masking tape
and see if the adhesive had done it's job, happy to say it is rock solid.
Next, start to refit the callipers and then a run in to work to borrow the pressure bleeder to change the brake fluid, which didn't look as though it had been done in it's 13 years, very dark colour, the new stuff is almost clear!.
About now was a good time for a final coat on the callipers for the parts that are easily seen from outside. Next it was time for the wheels to go on, been looking forwards to this bit !
This last one was just in case you thought that I had only fitted 2 wheels like I did last October.
last 2 pictures of the spoiler after a quick coat of polish to remove finger marks, looking good I reckon.
After a wash and polish tomorrow I'll post some pictures of it in all it's splendour. Been a hard 3 days but worth it in the end. I'll go back to work for a rest.
