Well after driving for over 40 years, I've finally been nicked. Just got an email from our company car secretary telling me they have received a NIP on my vehicle fro Dec 6th. I remember driving at 40 then realising after 20 seconds it was a 30. So within 20 seconds I got nicked!!

Bloody bad luck that we all do it. A few years ago now me and Mrs off out shopping. Couple of weeks later I found out I got booked going and coming back home in exactly the same
spot. Mobile must have been there all day!!! Going I was done at 35mph and coming back I was apparently doing 34mph. Hope that makes you smile and feel a little better.

Well after driving for over 40 years..........
Tough - it does hurt after that length of time.
Got my one and, so far, only after similar period - Bobby who stopped me asked me about previous form. To my somewhat smug `nothing in 40 years' - he responded `you have been lucky haven't you' - couldn't really argue.

I got caught last year, there and back on the same road. Cost me some Euros but no points, as this system is only for younger drivers.

Nobody's perfect. But I realize you must have been proud of your record.

Insurance companies are quick enough to put up your premium if you are honest enough to tell them but it never comes down again does it? First and only ( touch wood ) time I got caught was on a dual carriage way into Blackpool, I said to my son as the camera flashed that this must be a 40mph road, no, it was 30 mph. As you said ROBBING F* * * * * S. I could not believe the amount of speed cameras around that dump, I will never go back. Anyway Skeg Vegas is much better.

Every time I have driven in the UK to visit family, I have always had a different car with Dutch registration. Always got zapped on the M25, never had a fine.....

My one and only time driving in the UK. I rented a car for three days from London and then around Scotland. Remember I'm from Australia so this was like a pleasant afternoon drive for me, although the Scots I met were all incredulous that I drove so far in three days! :racecar: Anyway, thing was, I got back to Tokyo several weeks later and received notification from the rental company that I was pinged on the M something or other. They charged me a handling fee for telling the police I was an international visitor. Apparently the police don't pursue the matter any further. Must remember this and rent something much faster next time :p

Just found out I was doing 36mph in a 30 limit. Oh well, I might be offered a speed awareness course then?

It is well known now since the influx of Eastern European people settling in and around Lincoln and foreign trucks operating on the counties roads that it is too much trouble for the police to bother trying to chase speeding fines.

You were 1 mph over the tolerance Richard.

33 plus 2 which gives 35.

Do the speed awareness course Richard, it costs a bit more but you don't get points or a record.
