I'm having the rest of my MOT advisory done tomorrow :p
Will they then be taken off , as they have been done :)
As when I put my reg in for the MOT will it still come up that they need doing ;)
Just wondering :)

If the pass has been issued then no they cannot be removed unless another full mot is carried out so sorry Shelly but your stuck with them I'm afraid.
Stephen.

Ok thank you :p
It just don’t seam right , that I’ve paid all that money out for them to still be their ;)
Never mind ;)
At least next year they will be gone =))

The only way to get rid is to get advisory and failed items repaired at the same time so when the retest is done all can be removed.
Otherwise vehicle needs a full new inspection with the risk of another defect ( although if checked and repaired correctly this should not be the case)

As Iong as you get them done in the timeframe for the free restest, it's okay. Otherwise it has to be a full new MOT. That said, I have had advisories on my other zed, and was told by the Tester that the parts were good for at least another 2-3 years, and the advisory was just a way of giving you a heads up...

Wondering if I should get the work done on it tomorrow then :p

I had an Advisory for brake pipes one year, forgot about that and did not come up the following year :wacky:

Yep ! :wideyed:

I was expecting to have to have them done and then a re-test, but nope.

The lads in the garage said it must have been the mood of the tester on the day ?

Mine is the break pipes too :p
I've had one part done and now it's going back tomorrow for the other part to be done :)
I thought I'm best to get it done as it's to do with the brakes ;)

Most excellent, brakes are very very important. Had mine completly done with new pads discs and front calipers ;)

Love the colour of your new Z @N4LLY :p

Have a look at the recent history of my Merc B20RSW. When I first saw it I thought the car was on the way to the scrapper. My tester said that the only things that I need to attend to now is the underside corrosion. He put my car onto the ramps and showed me, and said to book it in to have the corrosion addressed and the underseal refreshed. When I asked about the brake pipes, he said that as they are covered with underseal he can't inspect them properly so needed to mark them as advisories to prevent any comebacks on him as he's not allowed to remove the underseal from the brake pipes. He said the other stuff wont need doing for a few years yet but again he needs to record them just in case.

Daft isn’t it. You take the effort to protect brake pipes from corrosion and you get an advisory because you’ve protected them. Can’t win.

It's categorised as "Monitor and Repair if necessary (advisories)" with the MOT test condition number next to the advisory. e.g. worn tyre is 5.2.3(e)
