What I've found after years of polishing is there is always a tool you need to improvise to complete the job. Some are very simple as with the pencil/ micro fibre and some need to be special construction. There are an abundance of wheels and buff out there and many can be easily cut to a shape you need with a sharp knife or scissors. Imagination is your friend!! JIM

My brother is a metal polisher and he usually cuts down the tool that holds the mop as they have plenty of thread and then no risk of hitting the spokes. Use a 75mm mop so you can have more control over it rather then a large one. The eye can take in what you are doing better with a smaller object to look at..

IMO anyway.
