I've seen loads of these "How to" videos and haven't seen one that makes me want to butcher a perfectly good tool to make a poor imitation of something you can pick up cheaply anywhere

That's a Fitzall Spanner ...…. one size fits all =))

Well, remember the "Gator Grip" sockets? You can still buy them . . . .

I bought one at the bike show at NEC years ago but can't recall ever using it. It's in the cupboard in the garage

Years ago, I used to find old whitworth spanners at boot sales, get them for next to nothing and grind them out to AF or metric sizes that I needed.
Over the years they have all been binned and replaced by decent tools.

FFS, just buy a set from Aldi for £7.99, will do a better job and a lot less f***ing about :D

These T**ts on YouTube really make me howl. But the serious side of it is if their life depended on ingenuity such as that they would survive after a crash in the desert where as there might be some big fat vultures about.
I know one person who would be bird fodder without doubt.

Tony

Don’t knock ingenuity from third world. These people could survive when some of us would have to give up. I applaud this fellow for just trying to share his ingenuity. Shame we seem to have less compassion for what our ancestors had to go through and for what we now take for granted. No offence Intended, just stating the obvious.

Hardly third world Roy, he is using an electric grinder

Like I said mate, vulture fodder. Sometimes you have to think outside the box and get creative.

Tony.
