Yup, very sad. No type of band plays or sings like AC/DC and the Like, never will, IMHO :(

Hadn't heard this. Gutted, One of my top 3 bands of all time. R.I.P Malcolm.

It was on this mornings news. He'd been suffering from dementia for a few years and hasn't worked for a long time.

Yeah I knew he hadn't been well but wasn't aware he'd passed. Such a shame.

Yes indeed, but their music is crap though,
Heathen! You don't make the money they have by being crap mate. Then again Justin f***ing Beiber...........

How lucky were they to find a shoe-in like Brian Johnson after Bon Scott died, his voice was eerily similar. Great band.

Tony.

The young brothers could have easily given it up after the death of the excellent Bon Scott...so glad they didn't, AC-DC definitely have their place...the big hair bands of the 80s just couldn't compete imo (guns & roses aside) ... I'd rather see them than the modern day Rolling Stones any day.

Good players, but the singers in AC/DC sound like they're being hung up by their b*lls and being strangled. Give me Paul Rodgers, J.J.Cale, Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey, Graham Bonnet, Eric Burdon, Jim Morrison, James brown, Steve Marriott Little Richard and the like.

Oh.....and Tiny Tim...

However I love 'Whole Lotta Rosie'. When I was in the band down in Sussex a guy came up and requested it at a gig. I didn't know it and one of the others had only heard it once before, but the lead guitarist loved it, so we had a little huddle for a few minutes to work it out..... and played it. With lots of nods and eye contact between us it was just passable, and the guy loved it! When I heard AC/DC play it I thought it was great. The vocals not so strangled on this number. The next time we played at this venue our bass guitarist broke his top string during the second number! I've never heard of a bass player break a string before that... or since!
( Other opinions are available!)

Bonzo.

I think Argentina liked that one too

What an event River Plate was. 3 nights of madness from band and audience. A great watch on Youtube.

I have their dvd live at Castle Donnington. Awesome!

Tony.
