Thanks for that - I found it myself and just read through it, very interesting - looks like the Stanley knife/soldering iron option for me - be nice to find the dry joints - although should really go for the sensors check option first. I've got the BM cables software but never managed to get it going. I've got the C110 which is a bit basic and the Delphi diagnostic tool, but it looks like the INPA is the one to use.
It's just the ASC switch that makes me wonder if that is faulty - ****ing cars

The switch is just an on/off switch it should be easy enough to rule out ?

what computer are you using for inpa? if you can get it working it is more usable, the bm cables software does come with the expert software for coding. opening the module should be the last option, i cant see why it would fail if it was fine when you parked it up. have another bash at getting inpa working.
me and ant both has the same problem but diagnostics threw two different codes, mine was something like pump valve wiring harness, it also threw a code for one of the wheel sensors but i never needed to check those. another common fail area is the coils found on the back of the module, they are the round rubber things you can see in ant pic, the coils are encased in rubber but looking through other beemer forums when i had my problem these to can fail, the wires inside the rubber can break. if these go inpa would show a different code, this is why you really need the software working to narrow it down.

The other code was relating to electro magnetic interference if i remember it relates to front left sensor but it never cleared on replacing the sensor.
Again not sure if that was a bad joint too relating to the eletro magnet in the module.
The module removed them all..
Have you taken the car out for a run ?
The abs light unlike others will extingush its self.
Prior to me changing the module the light was on and off for a while. It resets under self test at ignition may be worth taking it out for a good run and settling it.
Also is the battery good after its hibernation ? Sometimes a poor 12v signal causes spurious codes in these little cars

just noticed error code 93, this is specific code relating to the abs on cars that inpa recognises as mk20, same as mine - a 1.9 is your zed a 1.9? on different zeds the code would be different.

Using an old Dell computer running Windows 10 Home version 64bit - did have an half hearted attempt to load the software when I first bought it and found the program a bit confusing and half of it in German - so reverted back to my C110, and the BM cables setup got thrown in the cupboard with the rest of the useful stuff I have bought and never used - will get it out later and try and get it set up. Might get a bit more specific indication of what's up. Going to get the sensors out today (hopefully) and give them all a clean.

Thanks again for that- I haven't taken it for a run - it's still on Sorn so I daren't go too far in it at the moment and reluctant to unsorn it, tax and insure, if I can't use it - but will have to do so in order to sort out this problem. I have a 4x4 I run during the winter while the Z is off road and then swap them over during the summer months. Appreciate it needs a good run and then looking at again.
The battery was new last year and has been kept on a trickle charge over winter - car always starts first time so pretty confident the battery ok. Alternator putting out 14.1 volt when loaded!

Thanks Mate, Yea it is a 1.9 - are the codes you list specific BMW codes - with just having two numbers I would have thought the codes would be something like P00** or similar
