ABS and ASC light on dash

Hi, had these lights on and off over a period of a couple of years but now they seem on all the time.
my code reader shows
71 pump motor
31 wheel sensor left rear
41 wheel sensor right rear
i have removed and cleaned both sensors and connecting a test meter shows a reading so I guess it’s the code 71 pump motor that’s at fault.
just having a quick search and it’s shows an ABS pump and a electrical module attached is the pump motor the likely fault as the code suggests or is there a chance it’s the electrical module attached.

It's likely a dead pump motor. A 2.8 will likely have ASC rather than DSC but it's dependent of year what system it has - see if you can get the numbers from the pump.

Yep, it's 'that' one.

The ECU will have the same part number but ending in 7. (897)

They're buggers for failing and I've fitted a few. They were used on E36's and earlier E46 cars. I have a secondhand one for £40 if you want to go that route.
