Hi to all and big thanks for accepting me into your forum/club/group?
Not sure what to write really, be happy to see/hear who else in Cornwall has a Z3? - Are there meet ups / days out I wonder?
Well, by sheer accident, buying a Z3 was presented to us on a silver platter and after years of dismissing them (as I am 6' 2" I went along to see this car that my wife had fallen in love with!
It was pouring with rain and I had to admit as I stood there, looking at this pretty sparkling blue 2002, simple 1.9 with manual hood - I thought, what a shame it won't be big enough?
So, prompted by the wife, I eased myself into the cosy cab... turned the key and off we went for a test drive / cruise on the Cornish coast road to St ives, then the rain stopped and the sun came out. We stopped, dropped the windows and hood in 2 seconds, set off again and wow, I think that was the moment I fell in love with our new addition too! - Makes me smile every single time and gutted I have missed years of Z3 ownership aged 47 now, I could/should have looked at a Z3 years ago but thankfully was introduced to this fun and beautiful car. I look forward to hearing from some of you and no doubt I will be requiring some advice/technical assistance from time to time. Thanks again & best regards, Zxavier (and Jane - Not that she actually gets to drive it much haha!)
