I'm not sure it will fly tbh. It takes some doing to get something robust enough for prosecution. Think speed camera's double speed checks, radar AND lines on the road.

I may be wrong but I understood the lines on the road were for the Gatso type of cameras but the digital cameras don’t need the lines as they measure the actual speed, whereas the Gatso took 2 pictures and calculated the time taken between two points (the lines on the road surface).

Just checked, you may be right on that, my bad.
Just passed a newly installed digital camera on the A57 near the alternative butty shop Alex. Road has been re surfaced with no lines. The old one was a Gatso and had road markings.
