Wow. I got excited when I saw these on ebay the other day. But a whole car like it? I might not be able to contain myself :D

Know what you mean, but those with the car could be a bit much that's why I'm toning it down with black wheels and grills.

Oh yes. I couldn't handle both. Either/or. I need to get a set of Style 18s refurbed and fancy trying them in candy red against a silver car.

I'm not sure if that would work either but it's each to there own, put the wrong wheels on a car it can look awful, I'm hoping I've not made a mistake with my new wheels

I think it could be beginning of next week, but because I've done so much work underneath on suspension, brakes and steering it needs to go to garage for new M.O.T. Tracking and lights to be refocused and having a tracker and imobilizer fitted. So I think fingers crossed back on road end of next week.

The teaser looks amazing! I'm planning to do the same, except I'm thinking of black with holographic flakes. If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying to have your car painted candy with the holographic flakes? I can't wait to see how your Z looks when it's finished!

Hi thank you for your post I must admit it was a difficult choice for me.To make with colour change as the car was already black and like you I was going down the road of the black with the flake in it to start with, but I have always loved red and have seen the red BMW Z3 around and the curves lend them selves to red so I decided for a radical change and to be different and go the candy way. Regarding price I'd sooner not say as it is my nephew that is doing the spray work and body prep work and although paying him it's obviously not quite what he'd charge to other customers. Strange coincidence though you from Canada and so is my nephew he comes from Dunsville Ontario or that's where he was born.
But yes I think candy black with the holographic flake in will look great send pictures please I'd like to see what it would look like if I'd gone that route.

Yeah, it's definitely a radical change, but good on you for picking a unique color! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this thread for your updates, and I'll definitely share photos of my paint job once it's done.

One option I'm also considering over having the car painted is plasti dip... It'll give the color and holographic flakes I want and can be clear coated, but costs significantly less than a new paint job.I'm not sure if the quality will be the same and I'm sure it won't last nearly as long, but it's something I feel is worth considering!

Also... even bigger coincidence is that I'm also from Ontario :) What a small world.
