Spent an hour doing a little video of the winter garden. Not earth-shattering but some nice birdsong in the background. Hope it brightens somebody's day.

Lovely to hear birds singing like that, thanks Ian, and believe it or not they will be getting thoughts of spring in their minds already. On a bright sunny day like today it makes you look forward.
I have a project on the back burner at the moment to make a bird feeder. Just need some materials.

Tony.

Your honeysuckle is out early Ian 🙂
Lovely relaxing video 🙂

Got a number of shrubs and trees in flower. Most unusual.
How are you?

That's a big relief Shelly. High energy drinks, glucose tablets and drinks to replace salts until your appetite recovers.
I've had one of my oldest friends get a positive test today after feeling ill Friday/Saturday. She received the vaccine Thursday so we don't know if it is a reaction to that.
Both of you take it easy and recover properly.

Thank you Ian 🙂
I’m so happy we both got through this and came out the other end ok 👍

On the subject of the garden, I noticed that the Daffs in the verge outside our gate are about 6" through already.

I love daffodils 🙂
Really pretty when you see them 🙂

Ours Daffs haven't even poked through yet and they are earlies. The various bulbs including mini Daffs that flower in Feb are well through though. Should look good as they usually do. Snow drops across the road are flowering but you'd expect that.
Planning on doing some video at a neighbours golf club but having to wait until April when hopefully they can get machinery on the course - just too wet at the moment. Hopefully there will be some green in the tree's poking through by then.

Neil has closed the fishing lake next door since the lockdown, but it's only the last couple of days where the ice has melted. I read on the BBC News website that Angling is allowed under the restrictions as it's good for Mental Health.

Just getting some time on your own.... ;)

As long as you don't drive....=))

It's the "local" thing again. You see if his customers, who mainly come from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and surrounding areas wre living in their caravans here at Torksey when the lockdown was called then they are local? But if they were back at home then they can't travel to Torksey so then they can't go fishing here. There does seem to be a hell of a lot of abandoned cars around the village though...........................

Tony.

Perhaps, possibly, maybe there are people living in our village who perhaps, possibly, maybe shouldn't be. =)) It started last year at the first lockdown mate, silly thing is they wont park them on the caravan sites next to their caravans, but, they do have reg. plates on them.

Tony.
