Greetings! I'm James, I was recently able to acquire a 1999 Hell rot Z3 with a 2.5L M52TUB25, I purchased the vehicle for 2300$ from a Mormon man who originally got the car from an African American Woman in rural Missouri. The clock reads in excess of 200k and when I received it the entire front suspension was shot, the dual VANOS was inconsistent, the water pump had broken, and a myriad of other problems. Slowly but surely, starting in September of last year I have since rebuilt the aforementioned VANOS with new Teflon and Viton seals, replaced the water pump and thermostat, rebuilt the front suspension, dropped the subframe to replace the oil pan gasket and to wire tie the oil pump nut, in addition I overhauled the top end with new sensors, gaskets, etc. Previous to this my automotive experience was restricted to replacing an alternator on a Volvo 850. I mostly used Jaimie Caldwell's M54 rebuild series for a majority of my engine work, however ShoplifeTV, Chris Fix, Scotty Kilmer, Moment of Zed, and innumerable others have been crucial in aiding me in my work.
