Got a subtle reminder this morning that winter is lurking just round the corner

it was a tad nippy this morning.

Our heating came on this morning! Winter is coming :(

Hasn't quite reached down here yet but forecast for tonight. Z all tucked up in the garage.

Cold here this morning, 5 degrees, z is still broken in the garage, bent front arm and odd wheel, cant find a rear anywhere, so might ditch the them and get an after market set, fancy some beep dish,

Thick ice on our car yesterday morning which didn't thaw until 10 am.
After that it was a beautiful sunny day.

Yep, 3 weeks left till dark nights and depression. :(:(:(

Tony.

Seasonal Affective Disorder...it’s only Mother Nature doing her stuff. On the positive side, no tail end of the Hurricane Lorenzo today. It was very cold last night at 5 and yes, heating on here, too. Time to wrap up warm and look forward to all the end of year celebrations set to come up.

It is getting colder now :p
But it’s ok here at the moment still quite bright, people are still wearing t-shirts :)

Warming up nicely here - the girl goes topless regularly now. Eat yer hearts out, you poor sad upside down b*****s.
Read that there’s a critical water shortage in parts of Australia because of how hot it is. Has this affected you?

Yep. It's a bit crook, which is slightly sort of chronic. The state gummint is spending $800,000 per month trucking water into our town (Stanthorpe). This is the worst drought in living memory in our area which is about 300 miles square. The wild things are doing it tough, so are the animals.

I’ve read that the government is paying to transport water into the affected areas. Also read that trees are being felled due to their water consumption and some farmers have simply shut up shop. Sounds very bad. I recall this time last year that it was abnormally hot in Australia so it looks much the same this year - unfortunately. Keep hydrated.
