A day in the Zed shed...

A few photos of some fun today, included on the list .. @GazHyde doing his fan blade, myself and Gaz replacing my very .. Non existent rear shocks, New Battery for @Oldguysrule, idle control on @Shortie_gal 's little vixen by @Lee and additional work as needed due to a big hand of Gary... The photos below will show you what I mean..

Replacement pipe ( temp fix ) years of Land Rover working gives you a knack of doing things like this.

I'm so annoyed and frustrated that the 3rd picture had to happen. It was one of those stupid things you want to happen when working on your own car, not someone else's. I took the air filter out of the housing to see if it needed replacing and when I pushed the cassette back in it clipped the plastic hose on the cooling system. The plastic pipe was brittle and snapped like a twig, barely touched it your honour. :facepalm:

Never seen this happen on a Z3 before, but luckily a quick trip out for something to patch it temporarily worked out. So very sorry @Shortie_gal for breaking your new Zed :bag:

But in other matters Paul now fully understands why I hate the carpet in the window storage well behinds the seats :D
 
In your defence, I will say.. It was not malicious in any way.... Years of copper tube bending and fiddling on Land Rovers enabled me to make short work of that pipe replacement Gary. I think even @Lee was amazed I could actually do it too... =))


And that bloody carpet !!! :mad:

@t-tony. We need to get my car in to the Zed shed midlands plc Ltd! We're being shown up by them southern Jessies!!! :D
 
Rear shocks replaced on my zed in about 30 minutes. Made an amazing difference...

If it's in / on a zed.. (3) we can and we will rebuild it.
