Because I'm lazy I treated myself to a day off today
.
So with the zed having been sat in the drive for a few weeks we thought we'd head for the Derbyshire hills
.
The roads were rather wet and mucky to say the least and then around the Wirksworth area there was thick fog
.
A bit miserable for having the roof down unfortunately.
After a bit of a mystery tour, trying to find roads we've not been on,we filled up with petrol in Buxton and headed over to the cat and fiddle where there was no fog and the roads were dry
.
Was going to call in the pub for a cuppa, but it's closed till further notice
.
So off to Longnor.............
Where this Z4 was already parked up,anyone recognise it ?. Was going to leave a card but didn't have any
.
Look how close the back bumper is to the curb
.
And guess what, the cafe was closed so no cream tea
.
So off to Tissington where the café is always open...........but not today
. So off through the ford, which was quite deep
and onto Carsington Water, where the cafe was open
,for some much needed refreshement
.
By this point the car was absolutely ditched,so after taking the quickest way home I promptly set to and washed it ready for the weekend.
Despite the dismal weather we still enjoyed the day,It's funny really as we'd never have gone for a drive out in the middle of January on such a dank day if we didn't have the zed
.
