Love all the reactions here. Glad to share. I enjoy writing about all these odd automotive adventures. I've driven several Saab 900s and Volvos across the country, but this z has provided some of the most interesting accounts.

ktnez99 - We've been having inordinate issues with wildfires and wildfire smoke this year and I can only guess he was very stressed because of it and was not used to dealing with crossing roads in an unfamiliar habitat.
That’s so sad...
...poor bear. I watched a documentary about a black bear “conservationist” recently who was based in Canada. He had the most incredible relationships with the bears. Sadly, two bears were lured to their deaths by trappers during the hunting season and it was horrendous to watch. Somewhere, some idiot/s will have a bear head or two as trophies and Mother Nature has lost two beautiful black bears. Utterly inhumane behaviour.
