97 1.9 Z3 Error Code "93 tankentluftungssystem feinleck"

I almost have this car ready to register, but I can't pass emissions with this error code that comes up every maybe 50 miles. It says "93 tankentluftungssystem feinleck" and I occasionally notice a gas smell in the cab when I go around a corner fast.

I don't know what the 93 is but tankentluftungssystem means Tank venting system. The germans love stringing several wods together into one.

Check the rubber O ring on the gas cap replace it to be sure it seals ok otherwise the tank venting system won't work correctly. Also check the purge valve located on the side of the inlet manifold is working you can find how to on YouTube
