Phew wot a scorcher.

Last few summers have been meaning to sort the Aircon on my 2.2.

The auxiliary fan "crunched" a few years back. I deleted it as a new one is daft money. However bit the bullet and sourced a second hand one from a 3.0.
On connection nothing. I hoped with the air con button depressed it would work in low mode. I hadn't installed it as it's pretty much plug and go - I merely connected the multi-plug. Putting on a test meter there's no output. Now here's the thing. There are 3(?) fuses controlling the whole shooting match - or 2?
The mythical 40A fuse does not appear behind glove box or under steering wheel shroud.
Is it a wild goose chase, or are the relais likely to have fried when the original fan went "phut"

Thanks guys.

Sorry, I can't help you with the wiring or fuses, however I can tell you that the aircon fan won't work if there is no/low AC gas pressure in the system, so maybe worth getting that checked first?

Thanks John. No, I had no idea.
You have a 1.9 m44? Is that the same AC system as the 2.2?

If you just want to check the fan works power it through the plug from a 12 volt supply, if the fan is good it will still run as the secondary cooling fan in the event of the car getting too hot, but as said if there's an issue with the AC or just low gas the AC switch wont activate it.
