Since I bought the car, the abs and Asc have never worked, the lights aren't on on the dash ( I think the previous owner has simply covered the bulbs) . It doesn't bother me I like no abs or Asc but it's causing a 5k Rpm limit, is it possible to bypass it?

Getting the codes read for errors is probably a good start.

Could be several issues, sadly bulbs being covered or removed are more common than you'd think - particularly with airbag lights.

As Dino says, first port of call would be to get the fault codes read with a reader that reads chassis codes.

welcome from Evesham, the asc could cause the lower rev limit, it does on later cars but i have not heard it on a Z, the usual way in motor sport to get around this kind of limp mode is to disconnect the asc, buy you wont be able to MOT the car without it. i dont like asc either but one day i might be glad i have it.
