3.0 insurance advice

These really cheap policies without an agreed value are pretty worthless on these cars now- they only pay out book value so a light bump to a bonnet, headlight and bumper will see it written off.

@Uncle_Clanger as previously mentioned on PM I am no longer associated with them
Go for Footman James!! I will be heading over to them at renewal

Yeah, thanks Stacey. I didn't think it was my place to mention you had parted company with Manning, I did take your advice and call Mike but the quote was quite a bit higher than Adrian Flux last year. I know it was well covered in the press that premiums would rise this year but some of the quotes were astronomical!

Many thanks to all for the input.. It seems Footman James are the guys to go to for a reasonable quote.

Can you share where you have moved to Stacey, assuming it's insurance related?

Car related but nothing to do with insurance. She doesn't mind people knowing, she just hasn't got round to posting up about it.

I spent ages trying to get a reasonable quote, as my impulsive purchase was an extra car in the fleet, so I had no NCB.
The cheapest I could find was with Performance Direct on a "classic" policy with Zenith, cost £190.
3000 miles a year, fully comp, and you have to be a policyholder on another car.
Also it was slightly cheaper for a female - so its in my wife's name with me being a named driver!
