Found this and thought, I didn’t know that! Hope I never see it....

Feature unlocked! I bet few people know that the Z3 throws an engine code to tell you it is below -25 degrees outside. Goes away later in the day when it warms up. Cool feature I never knew existed.
 
My Z beeps at me when it +3 degrees or lower :p
 
327000km. That's been a busy car especially considering it's rear wheel drive living in such a cold country.
 
Mine doesn't have that feature...and I believe that few times in the mountains we reached few cold moments...or it wasn't so cold? It warning at +3C, like all modern BMW?
Maybe it starts for later models?
Mine is a '96.

Mine is '97 and I get the warning at +3C
 
Well I have to check!
"Luckily" is the best part of the year for that.
Next days the meteo announced -4C...:(
 
They do have a few secrets, the indicator stalk has an extra step for parking lights
 
Checked the booklet and my model doesn't have that feature. It comes with the board computer, together with the yellow engine malfunction warning light. It came to later on models.
Mine is primitive...;)
OK, i can live with the idea...I fitted in the change compartment a thermometer with metallic gauge...also very primitive=))

I have the on-board computer but can’t do with all that new fangled tech stuff.
This is my thermometer. Nice and simple and the glass even swings like a compass on an old sailing ship. Originally thought it stood out too much but I am sure you will agree, the addition of the BMW badge makes it blend in nicely.

A small suggestion, if it automatically turns on the heated seat, perhaps better located over the drivers seat button.:whistle:

Theres a few more hidden gems in the binicle clocks. You can get a digital rev counter and various other options by turning them on. Only annoying thing is it resets everytime you start the car.
