Only thing I need to sort now is the o ring on the headlamp wash wipe
destroyed and dripping
but I took it for a spin and boy she feels good

Are the "O" rings available separately as a spare from BMW? If not I have a selection of (some used, some new) ones you can rifle through if need be in the GYOTS box.

bought a cheap set from toolstation!
re polished the front end, much better!

Aircon still not fixed- going to leave that for a while
started to get a little knock on near side which I initially thought was trim, but clearly after some swift deterioration pointed to suspension
top mount has seen better days and a suspension refresh calls- so while these turn up from autodoc Germany, I gave the car a good clean- including inside the alloys
this week I also fitted an aux in to the head unit- thanks T-Tony for the guidance!

Last couple of days I’ve been sorting my front shocks and struts- which I was a little surprised as the car has only done 66k- but still it’s 18 years old right!
now it deserves a wash and at some point I will get the aircon sorted

Took the car on its first long run (in my ownership!)
200 odd mile trip to watch Liam from z4 forum race his E86 at snetterton
car behaved impeccably and was a dream to drive
I behaved stupidly and forgot to put suncream on my ears

Well thats that- EGZ drove off the drive for the last time today into new ownership.
I know that the new owner will look after it- no doubt! So the end of a happy project and on to the next one!
