Hi anyone recommend where i can conveniently pick up a 20 amp supply underbonnet to feed an Air horn compressor. i was initially thinking of running a crimp on eyelet off the starter motor or alternator thick wires or maybe off the + (positive) jump lead terminal is there any more convenient point i can use. i going to run an additional fuse to protect the cable too..

thanks

any thoughts.

i hoping to use a relay to split the circuits so that i have conventional and air horns on a cockpit mounted switch... i dont think the existing horn circuit will be able to supply enough current to run the compressor... i going to look into the existing horn circuit later on and see how that works. i believe it uses a relay in the glove box and didnt really want to go pulling out existing stuff,,,,

i was going to tap off the existing horn connections circuit to supply the coil feed to the air horn compressors relay if that makes sense ?

so on the link you sent the blue wire will be switchable between conventional and air horns. and the red wire with the fuse is the one i need to find a decent supply wire...

Would I be right in saying that the horn shaped thing under the fuse box under bonnet to the rear of the engine compartment is not the horn but the alarm sounder and the horn is behind one of the headlights ?

Assuming we have same model the actual horn is a twin system behind each fog light - see pic arch liner removed . The one under the bonnet is the alarm.IMG_0915.JPG
