Actually in Nefyn. My, that took a while.
Model of Z
2.2i Sport
From my (limited) experience the BMW caliper carrier bolt spacings are the same, whilst fiddling about doing the 325mm conversion I tried fitting the original calipers and if the discs/pads had been a touch thinner they would have gone straight on. Obviously not worth having the thicker discs skimmed a mill or two, or shaving the pads, but there's a lot of interchangeability in the BMW range.

Thanks for the guidance ,I've made some before but for bikes not cars. I'm not really a car guy but I have to say bikes are so much easier lol
Yeah, bikes you can see what you’re doing, cars not so much. Made one set on the car, 2 on the bench, much easier. Both were lug type, determined the thickness of the carrier after centering the caliper, drilled an mdf spacer to the caliper. Lined it up and centre punched to the upright. Drilled it up, then checked the wheel fit. Transferred the mdf to steel. Job done, just needed a new hose made up.
As the Nefyn Cat says, lots of variability in the discs, the 300’s are the same thickness as the 286 vented. The 325 are either 25 or 28mm thick, can’t remember.

It’s more that I have health problems than anything else, can’t take on yet another project when I haven’t finished the 50 or so I’m doing. 🤣🤣
Do the designing off the car, it’s much easier, just get a hub from one of the breakers, cheap, no use to anyone. Fit them in an afternoon then.
Don’t watch the YouTube videos, some on them are downright dangerous, welding to cast uprights etc.
Wilwood themselves do quite a good guide on how to make a bracket.
Simplest way is to plan it from the caliper to the upright, not the other way around. If you use ali, inserts are a good way to go if anyone other than you works on the car.
Followed your advice and picked up another hub. All looks fairly straightforward

Yeah, I found that the simplest way, I clamped the caliper exactly where I wanted it. That way I could easily and accurately measure the thickness of the bracket, defaulted to the nearest mm, I don’t have a mill. Used mdf, bolted to the caliper. Easy then to center the holes to the upright.
